If It’s Not Radical, It’s Not Resurrection
I’m only here for Easter if we remember what it really was—
a story of resistance and radical love,
set in occupied Palestine.
A brown, working-class Palestinian man
preaching liberation to the poor,
disrupting systems of power,
and offering belonging to the excluded.
New beginnings have to be new.
Not more of the same wrapped in softer language.
They require us to reimagine, rewrite,
and actually live the message.
So if we’re celebrating resurrection today—
let it be for the oppressed rising,
the silenced speaking,
and love showing up in bold, uncomfortable ways.
From Jesus’ Palestine to today’s—
may we hold space for justice,
and not look away.
