Yoga for Pregnancy

The Spring Series

Pregnancy Yoga at The Farm is a pause from the “push on regardless” culture that so often surrounds both pregnancy and the start of a new season.

This six-week Spring series moves in rhythm with nature rather than productivity culture. Spring is a time of stirring, growth, and gentle awakening - not a time to rush or force progress. Pregnancy mirrors this perfectly, asking us to move with care, notice shifts, and trust the natural unfolding of our bodies.

The practices are gentle, somatic, and restorative, designed to support your nervous system and honour the intelligence of your body. There is no end goal, no shape to perfect, no pressure to be anything other than where you are. This is not about doing more - it’s about doing less, more intentionally.

Each session offers space to breathe, rest, and move in ways that feel nourishing, while tuning in to the subtle signals your body sends. Open to all stages of pregnancy, this series centres connection over productivity, presence over performance, and care over control.

A space to awaken slowly—together—within a culture that tells us to hurry.

What to Expect

These sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes, intentionally spacious and unrushed. There is time to arrive, to move gently, to rest, and to share - because pregnancy is not something to squeeze into an hour or optimise for efficiency.

This is a closed, six-week series, not a drop-in class. We meet with the same group each week to cultivate trust, continuity and connection. In a culture that values convenience over care, this is a deliberate choice - community takes time.

The practices are somatic and invitational. There is no fixed sequence to perfect and no external standard you’re working toward. You’ll be offered suggestions and options, but always encouraged to listen to your body and move in ways that feel supportive for you. Rest is welcome. Stillness is welcome. Doing less is welcome.

Each series prioritises nervous system support, safety and replenishment over effort or achievement. This is not about preparing your body to perform - it’s about learning how to be with change, uncertainty and becoming.

Expect a space that is gentle, grounded and supportive. A place to slow down, soften, and practise moving with your pregnancy - and the year - rather than against them.

My Approach

Pregnancy Yoga at The Farm is different from the classes you might see in conventional studios. Our approach is grounded in nature’s rhythms, not productivity culture or “doing it right.” Here’s what sets it apart:

  • Move with the seasons, not the clock: Spring is a time of stirring, growth, and gentle awakening- not a time to rush or force progress. Pregnancy mirrors this perfectly, asking us to move with care, notice shifts, and trust the natural unfolding of our bodies

  • Somatic, invitational movement: There is no perfect shape, no fixed sequence, no end goal. You are invited to explore what feels supportive, safe, and nurturing for your body.

  • Connection over competition: These classes are about building trust - in yourself, your body, your baby, and your group. It’s not about performance, it’s about presence.

  • Rest is part of the practice: Pausing, softening, and listening are just as important as movement. You are encouraged to honour the body’s signals, including stillness.

  • A rebellion against “more is better”: This is a space to resist the cultural push to achieve, optimise, or rush - to slow down, listen, and trust the innate wisdom of your body and your pregnancy.

This philosophy underpins every session, creating a space that is supportive, nurturing, and aligned with the deeper rhythms of life - and pregnancy.
