RHYTHM & RELEASE
With music as your guide, Rhythm & Release weaves together embodied movement, somatic release, yoga and freeform dance, creating a space to explore the relationship between structure and freedom, rhythm and release, holding and letting go.
Each month holds a different theme and invitation, inspired by the seasons and the rhythms of being human.
You’ll be guided through waves of movement - some held, rooted and repetitive, offering grounding and support; others more fluid, expressive and free. Moving between containment and expansion, we explore the places where the body feels safe to soften, express and come alive.
As we move into the darker part of the year, these Friday evening rituals become an opportunity to find rest within movement, meet yourself through rhythm, and allow the body to move through cycles of activation and release.
This is not about getting the movements “right”. It’s not about performing, achieving or pushing through. It’s an invitation to listen, explore and trust the intelligence of your own body.
WHY RHYTHM & RELEASE
We live in a world that asks us to move faster, do more and stay productive - often leaving little space to listen to the wisdom of our own bodies.
But the body doesn’t move in straight lines. It moves in rhythms and cycles - expanding and contracting, activating and resting, expressing and releasing.
Rhythm & Release is an invitation to reconnect with those deeper rhythms through movement, music and embodied exploration. (such as shaking & tapping). A place to move out of the mind and into the body; to shake off what has accumulated, meet yourself where you are, and discover what becomes possible when we stop forcing and start listening.
Through the interplay of structure and freedom, repetition and expression, we practise finding rest within movement - building our capacity to move with the changing rhythms of life.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF…
You feel stuck in your head and crave a way back into your body
You're longing for movement that’s expressive, not performative
You want to release stress and tend to the capacity of the nervous system.
You love dance, yoga, or somatic practices - or you're curious to explore
You’re seeking a soulful alternative to your Friday night routine
You want to move, shake, release, and reconnect - all in one space
You’re ready to let it all move through and come back to yourself
WHAT TO EXPECT
A carefully curated soundtrack that guides the rhythm, energy and emotional landscape of the practice
Moments of shaking, tapping, swaying, releasing and resting - allowing the body to move through its own cycles
Movement that moves between grounding repetition and intuitive exploration - from contained and supported to expressive and free
Somatic practices that invite you to listen inwardly, notice sensation and build your capacity to be with what arises
A space to reconnect with yourself, your body and the simple pleasure of moving for the sake of moving
COME AS YOU ARE
No previous experience of yoga or dance is needed. You don’t need to be flexible, coordinated or know how to “move properly”.
Rhythm & Release is an invitation to explore movement in your own way, at your own pace - listening to guidance and your body and choosing what feels right for you.
Come as you are - all parts of you are welcome.

“Another beautiful session, thank you! It’s so interesting how different this one felt for me. It took longer for me to let go and mu body wasn’t doing what I wanted it to for a while. Tired and clunky then all of a sudden. BAM!!! I was in”. I love the music and the ebb and the flow of the energy. It’s just an amazing release and I feel so content and in my body afterwards. It’s a nervous system reset and I adore it!”
