We are Nature.
When we move in tune with the rhythms of the Earth, something in us softens. We come alive. We remember who we really are.
And we stop performing.
Hi, I’m Sam. I offer movement classes, 1:1 mentorships, seasonal workshops and retreats - online and around the Bristol area. My work blends yoga, somatic and intuitive movement, music, and non-dual tantric philosophy to guide people (especially women) back to something real. Something that lives inside the body, not outside of it.
Because for years, I did what I was told. I played the game. I chased perfection.
My yoga practice was disciplined, rigid, masculine. I believed there was a ‘right’ way to move, and that if I just followed the rules, perfected the poses, silenced the mess, I’d finally be enough. Peace. Worthiness. Self-respect. All waiting just on the other side of some imagined ideal.
After 15 years of practicing yoga, in 2019 I signed up to train to teach Ashtanga yoga. But the moment I arrived, my body knew: this wasn’t it. Uniforms. Strict routines. A male guru on a pedestal. A sea of 20-somethings trying to become something. And me, 36, having just walked away from a decade of teaching in a system that fed off control and compliance, feeling like I’d stepped straight into another.
I remember looking around and thinking:
Where’s the softness? Where’s the fucking truth?
Where’s the space to be human? This isn’t yoga!
At the same time, I was digging into soil, learning to grow food, listening to the land, tuning into cycles. That simple, earthy work started showing me a different kind of wisdom. One that was slower. Wilder. Real.
Then came non-dual tantric philosophy. Then somatic movement. And something shifted. I stopped trying to transcend my body. I stopped striving for some flawless version of myself.
I started listening.
I started feeling.
I started coming home.
Now, my work is about unlearning all the noise we’ve been fed about what’s ‘right,’ what’s beautiful, what’s enough - and remembering what’s always been there. That your body is not a machine to control. It’s not a performance. It’s not a problem.
It’s the ground of your being.
It’s your truth.
In my offerings, we don’t chase perfection. We don’t override. We don’t push through pain. There’s no rigid practice, our practice changes with the season. We move with curiosity. We follow sensation. We make space for rage, grief, pleasure, stillness. We listen. We feel. We reclaim what’s been buried.
I’m not interested in external authority. Or the rules that say you have to be smaller, quieter, more palatable to belong. This work is about coming back to you.
The wild.
The cyclical.
The powerful.
The soft.
The fully alive.
This is not about running to a cave to find enlightenment.
This is about waking up to your own life - and daring to be in it. Fully.
Come as you are. No masks. No performance.
Just you.
That’s more than enough.
